Crater Community Hospice is the only community-based not for profit hospice located in the Chesterfield to Emporia service areas. Since 1995, over 3000 Southside Virginia families facing terminal illness have received high quality compassionate care from Crater Community Hospice.

In most cases, reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, and other private insurances offer Hospice benefits but do not cover all costs incurred. Donations help us to provide care to everyone who is referred to us that is medically appropriate, regardless of their ability to pay.
