It was conceived by six local health care business marketers to bring together the health care marketing community and health care facilities with the intent of enhancing communication, education, and professional growth.

What is extraordinary about this organization is the chance to partner with area health care facilities and to work together to forge a more cohesive approach to delivering our quality services. We also envision opportunities to take part, as a marketing group, in community service projects sponsored by health care facilities.

As a first step, we have met with CJW Case Management Director, Jody Parker, and she has agreed to partner with our organization. Mrs. Parker has given permission for us to begin at CJW by organizing the rotation of educational in-services and will have a room reserved for this purpose. We have been given the list of businesses that have requested in-services at CJW and will begin the process of contacting businesses on the list to set up dates for 2008. At our meeting with Mrs. Parker, it was agreed that all marketing agencies who would like the opportunity to meet with case managers for in-service luncheons at CJW must become members of Partners in Health Care and share the same values.

We have planned meetings with other area hospitals as well, so they too are aware of the opportunities that Partners in Health Care can provide. First, we are sending out this letter to the area home health, hospice, infusion, DME, skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and companion services on the CJW list. We will then begin contacting other area agencies.

In addition, we are planning a series of meetings with area health care businesses, so we can meet with each of you in person and answer any questions you may have. We sincerely want and need your ideas and input! We don’t want to do this alone! We envision Partners in Health Care as a collective networking organization, where we can share ideas and work on projects together that will improve both our relationships and our image with hospitals. There is so much potential for all of us to work together to create a dynamic coalition of health care business that can truly make a difference in our community!

Our hope is that all the area health care businesses and health care facilities will share our vision and partner with us to make Richmond one of the best and most respected health care communities in the nation!

Sincerely,

Partners in Healthcare of Virginia
